STM Newsletter for May 16, 2018

Dear Parents,

As we move quickly through May, we continue to reflect on its association with Mary. During this special month, in which we celebrated Christ's Ascension into Heaven, we are reminded to always keep Mary in our hearts. As we carry on through the year, we should continue to develop a deep personal relationship with Mary – one of love, affection, devotion and trust, so that she always has an important place in our lives to deepen our devotion to Mary. Let's all try to take some practical steps such as praying the Rosary or maybe saying a special prayer like the Hail Mary or Memorare throughout the year, not just during May. The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Queen of Peace, so as we pray, we offer our prayers for peace in our city and throughout the world.

Thank you to our Student Council for preparing a beautiful May Crowning ceremony during morning assembly last Thursday. A special thank you also to the Ragasa family for providing the beautiful crowns for our Mary statues.

YEARBOOK
Today those who have pre-ordered a yearbook are receiving it in their Envelope. There are still a few copies available but a sellout is assured! Remember, yearbooks are now $25 and can be purchased from the office until our supply runs out.

DESKS AND CHAIRS
Our first and second graders are very excited to have received their new desks and chairs. Would you like a child size desk or chair for your child's room or study area? We are giving away all of the desks and chairs which were being used in these classrooms. Please drop by tomorrow or Friday if you wish to take one or more.

USED UNIFORMS
We still have a good amount of used uniforms, specifically boys shirts and girls skirts. Please drop by the school office by this Friday if your interested.

8TH GRADERS - UNIFORMS
To encourage the next collection of used uniforms, 8th graders who turn in their uniform (freshly laundered) by next Monday, May 21 will be allowed free dress all next week.

SANDWICHES-FOR-THE-NEEDY FINAL COLLECTION FOR 17-18!
Just a reminder that our final collection of sandwiches-for-the-needy is Friday, May 25. We ask that ALL grades pull together to provide sandwiches that day. Thank you once again to all who have supported these collections throughout the year. A special thank you to Alexis Reyes for delivering the sandwiches each week to the Martin de Porres House of Hospitality.
