View this email in your browser Eighth Grade had a blast on their field trip to SFMOMA last Tuesday! They viewed and experienced the newest additions to the museum, including paintings, photography and sculptures. This class highly recommends visiting the museum! CALENDAR ITEMS Wednesday, December 11 Advent Prayer Service led by Grade 1 in the Gym at 8:10 am Christmas Program 6:30 pm   - Schoolyard parking open at 5:45 pm   - Doors open for students at 5:45 pm; Students must arrive by 6:10 pm. Thursday, December 12 - Altar Server Training 2-3 pm  Friday, December 13 Last day of Toy Drive Sandwiches for the Needy led by Grades 3 and 7 Grades 1-5 Nutcracker field trip.  Saturday, December 14 Father-Son Campout Grades 7-8 Social at Holy Name School Thursday, December 19 Minimum Day 12:15/12:30 pm dismissal Extended care available Christmas Holiday Friday, December 20- Monday, January 6, 2020 - Christmas Holiday Tuesday, January 7 - Classes resume CHRISTMAS PROGRAM Tonight our students will present the annual Christmas Program and will sing a selection of Christmas carols. All students will be involved in this joyous holiday production. Again this year, we will be presenting the program at the Shah Center for The Performing Arts. We request that your child wear festive, dressy Christmas attire. No t-shirts, sweats, Uggs or sneakers, please. Pants/dressy jeans should be fitted and not baggy.  Christmas Program Schedule 5:45 pm - School yard parking and gym doors open 5:45-6:10 pm - Students meet in their classrooms 6:30 pm - Christmas program begins - Families arriving after 6:30 pm will be seated after students proceed into the gym. - All students in TK through 8th grade will be dismissed once the show is over. No early pickups allowed for the safety of all. - TK and Kindergarten - pick up in classrooms after the program Please join us in supporting our SF Food Bank and SF Firefighters Toy Drive by donating toys and/or food on the night of the event. We look forward to your attendance for this faith-filled and fun-filled production. Everyone is welcome! SANDWICHES FOR THE NEEDY This Friday, December 13, is our last collection of sandwiches-for-the-needy before the Christmas break. All are welcome to participate and the 3rd and 7th graders are charged with taking the lead that day. In order to facilitate the distribution of sandwiches, we have been asked to provide just one type of sandwich: turkey on sliced white or brown bread. We thank you in advance for what we hope will be another huge collection for those at the Martin de Porres House of Hospitality. TOY DRIVE Donations will be picked up on Friday, December 13, 2019.  All students who donate will received a candy cane! 400 POUND FOOD DRIVE PLEDGE REACHED! LAST DAY ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2019 A big thank you to our STM students and families for meeting the 400 pound Food Drive pledge in just one week! Let's continue to bring in donations to support the SF Food Bank. The entire student body will enjoy free dress on Thursday, Dec.19.  LAST DAY TO RSVP! Father-Son Campout - A Night of Adventure December 14-15 Register by Dec. 11 Don't forget to Shop with Scrip! Place your orders by THIS Friday December 13th to ensure gift cards in time for Christmas. Don't forget you can also pay with PrestoPay! SHOPAROO! Are you signed up? NEW STUDENT APPLICATIONS FOR 2020-2021 Application forms for Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and grades 1-8 are available from the front office or online. Kindergarten and TK students who have completed their applications will be scheduled for screenings on Saturday, January 11th. Siblings of current students, as well as students in our TK and Preschool will be given first preference in the application process.  We love to have new families join our community as well.
