View this email in your browser Dear STM Community, As we continue through the season of Lent we are reminded to help our children experience God's love by using activities that bring families together around penance, almsgiving and prayer. Consider ways that your family can pray together and give thanks. Help each other learn to accept responsibility for our actions and say sorry. Think of ways to help the poor or less fortunate. Below are the updates for this week:  Cioppino 2022 Raffle for Warriors Tickets Calendar Re-registration Talent Show Parent Education Offering: St. Clare Initiative for Leading and Learning Parent Participation Hours Spring Festival Yearbook COVID Notifications CIOPPINO 2022 Congratulation on 30 amazing years It was so much fun to have almost 200 people gather in celebration for Cioppino 2022. This was our 30th year of putting on this event and it was once again a resounding success. Thanks to the awesome committee who planned and prepared the food and beverages, solicited donations and organized items for the auction, and made very creative balloon baskets. Thanks to the many parents and families who attended the event, and who volunteered to set up and clean up.  RAFFLE FOR WARRIORS TICKETS Warriors vs Lakers The Cioppino Committee has two WARRIOR tickets that they are allowing us to raffle off.  Game Date: Thursday, April 7, 2022 Seats: Section 121, Row 21, Seats 18 & 19 Value: $820  ($410/ea) Raffle Tickets Prices: $20 each or 3 for $50 Raffle Date and Time: Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 10 a.m. Deadline to purchase raffle tickets: Monday, April 4, 2022 at 3 pm Purchase your raffle tickets now! LINK: WARRIORS TICKETS RAFFLE   2022-2023 STM RE-REGISTRATION RETURNING STUDENTS All current TK-7 STM students will be automatically re-registered for the 2022-2023 school year. Please make sure your FACTS account is up to date. The re-registration fee of $450 will be billed to your FACTS account on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Re-registration fee is due by Friday, April 15, 2022.  The fee will increase to $600 if not paid by April, 15, 2022. FINANCIAL POLICIES Here are the updated Financial Policies for the 2022-2023 school year. The tuition increase of approximately 4.5% will assist in balancing our budget.  The rising cost of employee salaries and benefits, textbooks, school supplies and student activities were all factors in deciding the new tuition rates. All other fees have remained the same for the past five years. Contact our office at office@stmsf.org if you have any questions. CALENDAR Friday, April 1 Talent Show and 8th grade films 1:00 pm in the Gym - Parents welcome to attend in-person  - Watch our livestream on our school website Monday, April 4 Gr 3-5 Mexican Dance Class Thursday, April 7 Parents' Club Meeting 7 pm Friday, April 8 Gr 3-5 Mexican Dance Class Saturday, April 9 Second Grade First Communion 11 am at STM Church Monday, April 11 Stations of the Cross Part 2 led by Grades 1 and 3 at 1:15 pm at STM Church Thursday, April 14 Minimum Day 12:15/12:20 dismissal Friday, April 15-Friday, April 22 Easter Holiday Monday, April 25 Classes resume Minimum Day 12:15/12:30 dismissal PARENT EDUCATION OFFERING St. Clare Initiative for Leading and Learning Parent Education Evening #3: "Transitioning from K-8 to Catholic High School with a Learning Difference" on April 4, 2022 at 6pm This webinar will feature Catholic high school resource program staff, students who have successfully transitioned from K-8 to Catholic high school settings, and other panel perspectives. Topics will range from preparing the application to preparing for the transition. Parents of students in K-8 Catholic schools are encouraged to attend. Registration information is below, this webinar is free, and 5th-8thgrade Catholic school parents are encouraged to attend. Parent Education Evening #4 featuring a Dyslexia Simulation for parents followed by a parent networking opportunity! May 19 @ 5pm This event is designed for Catholic school parents of students with suspected or documented learning differences, with particular emphasis on language-based learning differences. This in-person event will be hosted by our partner, Archbishop Riordan High School, and will reach capacity quickly so advanced registration is required. Registration for both evenings is now available and may be completed at schools.sfarch.org/leadlearn PARENT PARTICIPATION HOURS Due date extended to May 16.  During the 2022-2023 school year, all families are required to volunteer for a minimum of 15 hours for school activities. Hours usually need to be completed by mid-April. However, because of Covid restrictions we canceled our Fall Festival and will be replacing it with our Spring Festival on May 14th. This will be a great opportunity for all families to complete their parent hours.  Failure to complete all 15 parent participation hours as assigned will result in a $450 fee. It is your responsibility to seek out and sign up for volunteer hours. Thank you for responding to our request for photographers. We have enough volunteers for both First Communion and Confirmation.  Please contact the school office, office@stmsf.org, if you have any questions. View this email in your browser   TK march for peace in support for Ukraine Dear STM Community, Thank you to our students for supporting the various fundraisers to support the millions of Ukrainians who have lost their homes and all their belongings during this terrible war.  Free Dress Day raised $1,226.30. Funds will go to https://novaukraine.org  The  Bake Sale raised  $824 for World Central Kitchen which provides food for humanitarian relief. Our students prepared inspiring posters, marched to the PEACE statue on Brotherhood Way and along with students from Brandeis School, they prayed, read poems, sung songs and paid tribute to the suffering of the Ukrainian people. Students in TK-3 grade marched in the yard.  Check out the brilliant photos from our 8th grade student photographer. Volunteer photographers will take individual photo(s) of children as they receive their Sacraments, group/class picture, and other photos as needed. Pictures will be shared with respective teachers. Volunteers will earn 4 parent hours for each event.   First Communion (Second Grade) Date: Saturday, April 9, 2022 Time: 10:30 am-12:30 pm Confirmation (Seventh Grade) Date: Friday, May 6, 2022 Time: 4:30-6:30 pm Please contact the school office, office@stmsf.org, if you are available. 30TH ANNUAL CIOPPINO DINNER Saturday, March 26, 2022 Limited number of tickets still available.
