View this email in your browser February 23, 2022 Dear Families, Congratulations to our 2nd grade students, who along with a few students from other grades, celebrated the next step on their journey as Catholics by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation today. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.  Next Wednesday, March 2nd, is Ash Wednesday, the first day of the lenten season. Students will attend mass at 8:30am and have an opportunity to receive ashes.  Below are the updates for this week:  Calendar STM Financial Aid Virtual Bingo Nothing Bundt Cake Fundraiser Cioppino Maintenance Fee Scrip COVID Notifications CALENDAR Monday, Feb. 28 Minimum Day 12:15/12:30 Dismissal. Staff CPR training day Wednesday, March 2 Ash Wednesday Mass, 8:30am   Thursday, March 3 Parents' Club Meeting, 7 pm STM FINANCIAL AID THE CARL and CELIA GELLERT FOUNDATION FUND at STM was established in 2022 with a generous grant from the Carl Gellert and Celia Berta Gellert Foundation. The purpose of the Fund is to provide financial aid to families in need who wish to have a Catholic education for their children. If you wish to apply please complete this application form, along with the TADS application form, (mytads.com) by 4/15/22 to be considered.  Grants will be awarded based on the information received from TADS. View this email in your browser     STM Kindergarteners paraded their Chinese New Year Dragons to celebrate the special occassion. February 16, 2022 Dear Families, Today was a very exciting one for our 8th grade students. Dressed in their very finest, and wearing their graduation gowns, they had official graduation pictures taken.  Many of these students have been with us since Preschool and to see the amazing people they have become is very special. Below are the updates for this week:  Calendar Outdoor Masking Updates 2022-2023 New Student Applications First Reconciliation Black History Month Virtual Bingo Night Nothing Bundt Cake Fundraiser Save the Date - Cioppino COVID Notifications OUTDOOR MASKING UPDATES Many students celebrated today also because they were able to play with masks off. Hopefully, this is the first step along the journey to returning to life as we knew it before Covid.   ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS Please continue to share the good news about STM with family and friends. Word of mouth is the most effective way to attract new families to our school. Use your social media account, and our school accounts to spread information. We have registered a lot of new students for next school year already, but we still have spaces available, especially in the middle grades. Online applications are available on our website, www.stmsf.org. FIRST RECONCILIATION Our 2nd grade students, along with a few students from other grades, will be celebrating the next  step on their journey as Catholics, by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation next Wednesday, February 23rd. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. FEBRUARY ~ BLACK HISTORY MONTH Every February, the U.S. honors the contributions and sacrifices of African Americans who have helped shape the nation.
