View this email in your browser Morning Assembly at STM August 31, 2022 Hello STM Broncos! Today, we launched our performing arts classes – acting, singing and dancing – for all grades!!! There is so much talent in our school! Stay tuned for our performing arts calendar of events - coming soon! It was wonderful to see all the families at Back to School Night 2022! Our first time back in person since the pandemic. We are off to a great start! Let's Go!!! Thank you, Reverend Richard Van De Water, for a beautiful Sunday service on Sunday. We had a special blessing for the third grade class and enjoyed the new church garden dedication. Thank you, Ms. Ginger, Mrs. Angeles and all the third grade families for joining in the special day! Wow! Time has flown by so quickly! As we are now at the end of August and have been in school for a few weeks, I would like to acknowledge the entire STM community and express my appreciation. Thank you to all the students for doing your best and demonstrating kindness throughout the day. Thank you to the families for all the support you show at school and at home. Thank you to Alma Via and the STM Church for being partners as we walk together in our social justice efforts and projects. Thank you STM teachers and staff for bringing your best every day!   A couple of quotes from students this week:     "I really love being at my school!"     "Friday is my favorite day. I love singing!" – "Same!" Find a parking space if you need to exit your vehicle.  No U-turns in the middle of the street or at the top of the street No double parking on Thomas More Way  Use the crosswalk.     U-turns, double parking and jaywalking disrupts the flow of traffic and is unsafe for our children. SF GIANTS FILIPINO HERITAGE NIGHT Tuesday, September 13, 2022 Come join us for the SF Giants Filipino Heritage Night!   First Pitch is at 6:45 pm Tickets Price: $24 per person and includes a Filipino Heritage Night T-shirt Seating: Section 137 Bleachers (T-shirts limited to the first 50 tickets sold.) View this email in your browser August 24, 2022 Hello STM Broncos! Tonight – Wednesday, August 24, 2022 - We are looking forward to seeing you all at Back to School Night 2022 @ STM! Gates/Schoolyard parking opens @ 5:00 p.m. - Raffle @ 6:00 p.m. We resumed our regular mass schedule last Friday. It was wonderful to bring our whole community together in celebration. "God is Love" was one of many important messages that stood out. Thank you Reverend Richard Van De Water for a lovely service.   And a very special shout-out goes to the STM Choir who sang their hearts out and guided the entire school with their beautiful singing! Open to STM students grades 4-8. No experience is necessary.  For more information, see registration forms below. Music Matters Percussion Protocol Ensemble Fall Registration  Music Matters Wind Ensemble Fall Registration Contact: joshyfrye@gmail.com if you have questions or concerns BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT Wednesday, August 24, 2022 6:00-7:30 pm Back-to-School Night is on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, beginning at 6:00 pm in the gym. This is a mandatory meeting for all families. We will have a raffle for $100 off tuition for five STM families who arrive on time! Please pick up your raffle ticket at the teachers' tables. One ticket per child.  SCHEDULE Gates Open/Schoolyard Parking: 5:30 pm Check-In: 5:30-6:00 pm in the Gym Raffle: 6:00 pm Introductions: 6:00-6:20 pm Classroom Sessions Session 1: 6:30-6:55 pm Session 2: 7:00-7:25 pm ATTENDANCE At least one parent from each family is required to attend. Per the 2022-2023 Parent Participation Requirements, families without a representative in attendance will be assessed a $50 fee for a missed meeting. Please email your child's teacher if you are unable to attend.  PARKING Parking will be difficult, please plan to arrive on time. Limited parking will be available in the schoolyard so consider carpooling or parking on Brotherhood Way or in Park Merced. MASKING For your safety and that of our faculty and staff, we strongly recommend a well-fitted mask for all who attend Back-to-School Night. Please ask a staff member for a mask at the gym entrance if you need one. Masks will also be available in the classrooms.  EXTENDED CARE While it would be ideal if children could stay at home, we understand this is not always possible. Childcare for STM students will be available in Carroll Hall at $10 per family.  Please complete the reservation for childcare below.
