View this email in your browser August 30, 2023 Hello STM Broncos! Thank you to all the parents and guardians for joining our B2SN '23! It was wonderful to bring everyone together! Special thank you to Mrs. Cabe-Reyes, the faculty, and staff for a fun and informative evening.   Thank you to everyone for keeping our community safe by respecting the pick-up and drop-off zones. If you would like to gather and meet, we ask that you please park up in front of the church. Please keep the loading zones clear and moving! Thank you all for working together and keeping everyone safe! We can do it! Girl's Volleyball and Junior Soccer has arrived! Get ready for another amazing season! It is so wonderful to see alumni coming back to help. Go Broncos! STM FUN RUN 2023 kick off is next week! It is a great time to get out and exercise, enjoy nature and the sunshine! Bronco Family Bingo is Back - Get your tickets while you can! In a few short months, STM will celebrate our 70th anniversary year. That will begin our 5 year journey to 75 years strong! We are looking forward to a number of amazing and memorable celebrations along the way to 2029!   We are all truly blessed to be part of such an amazing community! This opportunity starts September 5th. This sign up is for the months of September and October only. There will be other sign ups later in the year. Sign up here! NO OUTSIDE KIDS/SIBLINGS WHILE PARENT IS ON YARD DUTY In order to do yard duty, parents must finish the Virtus training and be fingerprinted. Tonight – Wednesday, August 23, 2023 - We are looking forward to seeing you all at Back to School Night 2023 @ STM! Gates/Schoolyard parking opens @ 5:00 p.m. - Raffle @ 6:00 p.m. We resumed our regular mass schedule last Friday. It was wonderful to bring our whole community together in celebration. Thank you Reverend Richard Van De Water for a beautiful service.   A very special shout out goes to the STM Choir who sang their hearts out and guided the entire school with their beautiful singing! This is a mandatory meeting for all families. We will have a raffle for $100 off tuition for five STM families who arrive on time! Please pick up your raffle ticket at the teachers' tables. One ticket per child.  SCHEDULE Gates Open/Schoolyard Parking: 5:00 pm Check-In: 5:30-6:00 pm in the Gym Raffle: 6:00 pm Introductions: 6:00-6:20 pm Classroom Sessions Session 1: 6:30-6:55 pm Session 2: 7:00-7:25 pm ATTENDANCE At least one parent from each family is required to attend. Per the 2023-2024 Parent Participation Requirements, families without a representative in attendance will be assessed a $50 fee for a missed meeting. Please email your child's teacher if you are unable to attend.  PARKING Parking will be difficult, please plan to arrive on time. Limited parking will be available in the schoolyard so consider carpooling or parking on Brotherhood Way or in Park Merced. EXTENDED CARE INFO FOR BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: BACK TO SCHOOL REGISTER LINK: Back to School Night 2023 While it would be ideal if children could stay at home, we understand this is not always possible. Childcare for STM students will be available in the Library. Walk-ins will be charged $20 per family. Parents and Guardians -  Please drop your kids off in the library (on the second floor above the gym) and they will be picked up from the gym. HOT LUNCH REGISTRATION STM has a hot lunch vendor, SchoolFoodies, for the 2023-2024 school year. Please refer to the registration Information below for more information on how to set up your child's hot lunch account.  LINK: SchoolFoodies Registration Information SCHOOL SCHEDULE MORNING DROP-OFF 7:45-8:10 am: All TK-8 students  8:10 am: Morning assembly in the schoolyard AFTERNOON DISMISSAL - TK-8 will be dismissed at the gate.    TK-3 Grades 4-8 Monday-Thursday  2:45 pm 3:00 pm  Friday 2:15 pm 2:30 pm  Minimum Day 12:15 pm 12:30 pm MORNING DROP-OFF Before you leave for school, please do a quick health check with your child at home. Please keep children at home if they are ill or showing any symptoms that may be related to COVID-19.  MORNING DROP-OFF The schoolyard gate will open at 7:45 am.  TK-8 students may be dropped off between 7:45-8:10 am in the morning.  Please drop students off in the white zone. Pull forward.   Drivers and family members, please stay in your vehicle.  For our younger students, please practice exiting the vehicle. STM staff members will be on traffic duty to supervise and help with morning drop-off.  If you must exit your vehicle, please find a parking space across the church or in the neighborhood and walk your child to school.  NO U-TURNS Please do not gather in front of the gate.     RETURN OF MORNING ASSEMBLY Students will stay in the schoolyard for morning assembly. Parents, family members, and other adults are not allowed in the schoolyard as we continue to limit visitors to our campus. TARDY STUDENTS Students arriving after morning assembly will enter through the front office doors for check-in and receive a tardy pass to give to their teacher.
