View this email in your browser Dear Parents, Next Tuesday, our second grade class will receive the sacrament of First Reconciliation. When we receive this sacrament we find God's unconditional forgiveness for each and every one of us; as a result we are called to forgive others. The peace of mind and soul which this sacrament imparts to us is one for which there is no substitute. It is a peace that flows from a certainty that our sins have been forgiven and that we are right with God. Please keep the second graders in your prayers as they continue their preparation for their First Communion on Saturday, April 21 at 10:00am.   PEACE WALK Thank you to all who joined us for our Peace Walk today. It was great to see our students exchanging "peace (post)cards" with our neighboring Brotherhood Way schools, The Brandeis School of San Francisco and KZV Armenian School. STATIONS OF THE CROSS Thank you to all who joined us last week for 3rd grades presentation of the first seven stations. Next Thursday, March 22, the 3rd graders will complete them by presenting stations eight through fourteen. Please join us if you can. PARENT MEETING CAPITAL CAMPAIGN Thank you to all who joined us last night for the mandatory parent meeting. Congratulations to the Bernardo Family and the Guevara Family for winning the free re-registration raffles! We were very excited to roll out our Capital Campaign - More than Bricks. Your involvement and support for your St. Thomas More School is very much appreciated and you are truly a blessing to your children. The Mother-Son Dinner Dance was a wonderful success! Thank you to Norman and Mariluz Ragasa (parents of Aidan, 8) and all their helpers for all their hard work in making this a fun and memorable event for all mothers and their sons. Below are the winners of the drawing and costume contests. All prizes will be sent to the winners classroom. Costume Contest: Marquez and Mia Beasley (5)   Drawing Contest: K-2: Emerson Ngoon (K) & Rory Freer (2) 3-5: Eli Reyes (3) & Jared Lim (5) Overall winner: Matthew Quesada (5) The drawings were awesome which made it hard to choose a winner. Thank you to everyone who participated! RE-REGISTRATION   Families returning to STM/UTOPIA for the 2018-2019 school year Families NOT returning to STM/UTOPIA for the 2017-2018 school year Thank you for another wonderful year at St. Thomas More School. It's time to re-register for the 2018-2019 school year. We ask all families, preschool through seventh grade, to complete their re-registration online by clicking on the buttons above. The re-registration fee is $375 for each child and will be billed to your FACTS account on Friday, March 23. The payment deadline is Wednesday, April 11. After this deadline of April 11, the re-registration fee is $500 per child. As a reminder, any family with unmet financial obligations to the school may be dropped from the registered list. These include scrip purchases and parent hours.   Re-Registration Guidelines You must complete one online form for EACH child currently attending STM/Utopia Preschool. (Preschool families who are entering Kindergarten at STM do not need to register online.) If the online form is not completed by the due date, a seat will not be saved for your child. As always, re-registration fees are non-refundable. Facebook Twitter Website *NEW* Instagram Friday is a big day for the eighth graders. They will be receiving notification of their acceptances in the various Catholic high schools to which they have applied. They are a wonderful, talented and mature group of students. We know they will do amazingly well! Remember, this Friday, March 16 is a local holiday and school will NOT be in session. We'll see you again on Monday, March 19.
