March 17, 2021

Dear STM Families,

There is much excitement here at STM this morning! The leprechauns were here overnight, playing tricks as usual. Chairs were turned upside down, books on the floor, candy and other treats scattered around classrooms. Some students even spotted a leprechaun in the yard, but he disappeared in a flash!

St. Patrick lived almost 1,500 years ago and is well known as one of the patron saints of Ireland, It is believed that he brought christianity to the country. There are many stories and legends about his life such as his banishing all snakes from Ireland.  While many of these stories may not be quite true, he is one of the saints whose life is celebrated each year all over the world on March 17.

FINANCIAL POLICIES

Here are the updated Financial Policies for the 2021-2022 school year. The tuition increase of approximately 4.5% will assist in balancing our budget. The rising cost of employee salaries and benefits, textbooks, school supplies and student activities were all factors in deciding the new tuition rates.

Contact our office at office@stmsf.org if you have any questions.

CIOPPINO-TO-GO FUNDRAISER UPDATE

The numbers are in from our Cioppino Committee and we are excited to share that the Cioppino-to-Go Fundraiser generated almost $20,000 in profit. What  an amazing accomplishment during this time of pandemic! This is funding that will go directly towards purchasing new science instructional materials. On average, it costs $10,000 per grade to implement a new program.

Check out our the Student Council Read-a-thon video to learn more.

GRADE 2 STEM

Last Thursday Second Grade attended a virtual "Fairytale Engineering" workshop with the BADM. During the workshop they had to design something that would help the three Billy Goats Gruff from getting over the bridge without being eaten by the Troll. They all had such a great time being so creative.
