View this email in your browser May 5, 2021 Dear STM Families,  San Francisco and the greater Bay Area has always been one of the most diverse areas in the United States, attracting immigrants from all parts of the globe.  The many contributions and achievements that so many immigrants have made have enriched and improved our society, and we are blessed to call this part of the world our home. May has been designated Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Across the nation, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders contribute to a rich and deeply rooted heritage.This month is a time to acknowledge their hardships, culture, achievements, and beliefs. In light of the recent escalation of hate crimes against Asian Americans, the importance of teaching our children about the value and importance of every human being is critical. We must all work together to end racism in our homes, our schools, and our society.
