Back to School Night is tonight, Wednesday, August 20, from 6:00-7:30 p.m! The Faculty and Staff are ready and excited to meet their new classroom families this school year during Back to School Night 2025. Limited parking will be available in the schoolyard so please consider carpooling or parking on Brotherhood Way or in Park Merced. Yard gates will open at 5:30 p.m. See you tonight! 
Evening Extended Care is available for STM TK-8th students,
but not for preschool.
Pre-registraion for evening extended care is now closed but walk-up registration is available for $20 per child. * * * Special thank you to Father Rick and Deacon Abbie for celebrating our opening school mass last week! Tonight, August 20, 2025
@ 6:00 p.m. in the Gym Back-to-School Night is next Wednesday, August 20, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the gym. This is a mandatory meeting for all families. We will have a raffle for $100 off tuition for five STM families who arrive on time! Please pick up your raffle ticket at the teachers' tables. One ticket per child. SCHEDULE Gates Open/Schoolyard Parking: 5:30 p.m.
Check-In: 5:30-6:00 p.m. in the Gym
Raffle: 6:00 p.m.
Introductions: 6:00-6:20 p.m.
Classroom Sessions
Session 1: 6:30-6:55 p.m.
Session 2: 7:00-7:25 pm
ATTENDANCE
At least one parent from each family is required to attend. Per the Parent Tuition Agreement Form and Parent Participation Requirements, families without a representative in attendance will be assessed a $50 fee for a missed meeting. Please email your child's teacher if you are unable to attend.
PARKING
Parking will be difficult, please plan to arrive on time. Limited parking will be available in the schoolyard so consider carpooling or parking on Brotherhood Way or in Park Merced.
EXTENDED CARE (STM Students ONLY TK-8th)
While it would be ideal if children could stay at home, we understand this is not always possible. Childcare for STM students will be available in Carroll Hall. Back to School Night: | | | FUN RUN 2025
FALL FUNDRAISER - All Families All families are required to participate in the Fall Fundraiser. Each family is to raise a minimum of $100 per child enrolled in the school. Families who choose not to participate may pay a buyout fee of $150 per child. Families who do not meet the minimum requirement of $100 per child must pay the difference between the amount raised and $150. | | | ACADEMIC CHESS 2025

Safety First! Before you leave for school, please do a quick health check with your child at home. Please keep children at home if they are ill or demonstrating any contagious symptoms. Thank you for keeping our students and families as healthy as possible! MORNING DROP-OFF - The schoolyard gate will open at 7:45 a.m.
- TK-8 students may be dropped off between 7:45-8:10 a.m. in the morning.
- Please drop students off in the white zone. Pull forward and drive around the block or park up on top of the hill in front of the church.
- NO Double Parking for the safety of our community and the Alma Via residents.
- NO Red Zone Parking

- Drivers and family members, please stay in your vehicle.

- Please do not gather in front of the gate for extended periods during peak drop-off/pick up times.
MORNING ASSEMBLY
Students will stay in the schoolyard for morning assembly. Parents, family members, and other adults are not allowed in the schoolyard as we continue to limit visitors to our campus.

Applications for 2025-2026 Utopia Preschool is currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year! Space is limited! Schedule a tour by calling (415) 317-6269 or email our Director, Stephanie at svorrises@stmsf.org. Current STM families are given priority enrollment! 
| | | Parent Participation Requirement - All Families
$50 Parents' Club Dues 2025-2026 Each family is required to join ($50 per family per year) and to cooperate with the Parents' Club fulfilling their Parent Participation Requirements. The school works in cooperation with the Club's leadership in the decision-making, implementation and enforcement of their policies. Dues are payable no later than September 15, 2025 (billed via FACTS) and are non-refundable. STM Scrip Purchase Requirement
2025-2026 SCRIP PURCHASE REQUIREMENT – All Families All families are required to generate a minimum of $100 profit by participating in the RaiseRight program authorized by the school. Scrip purchased between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026 will be credited to this requirement. Families who do not wish to participate or do not reach the minimum requirement of $100 profit will need to use a combination of scrip profit and cash/check for a total of $150. The buy out fee is due no later than April 20, 2026 (billed via FACTS). | | | STM Parent Club Participation
Requirements & Opportunities - Parents Club Meeting on Thursday, 9/4/25, @ 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. Parents Club meetings are required for classroom representatives, officers and upcoming event leads. All others are welcome to join. Contact your classroom rep or parentsclub@stthomasmoreschool.org for details.
- Sign-Up Genius for Parent Mixer Volunteers will be emailed out on Wednesday, 8/27 around 7:00 p.m.
- If you do not receive an email for event volunteer sign-ups you can access the link by:
- Visiting STM Parent Club Volunteer Opportunities and navigating to the specific event using the headings on the left.
- Logging in to your Sign Up Genius account with the email provided to the STM Office. You will see "Sign Ups I'm Invited To"
- Parents can always review guidelines as well as see current & past events or sign-ups at STM Parent Club Volunteer Opportunities, then go to Document Tab 2025–2026.
- All events require Virtus online training and fingerprinting. It should be completed and confirmed prior to the event you signed up for. Please contact school's front office if you have any questions. This process can take between 3–4 weeks. Be sure to plan accordingly.
