Tomorrow, Friday, August 14, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. is our opening school mass. Families are welcome to join. Please make sure to keep the flow of traffic moving for everyone's safety! No red zone parking. No double parking. Parking is available in front of the church and across the bridge in the neighborhood. Thank you for your patience, thoughtfulness and understanding! This is a mandatory meeting for all families. We will have a raffle for $100 off tuition for five STM families who arrive on time! Please pick up your raffle ticket at the teachers' tables. One ticket per child.  SCHEDULE Gates Open/Schoolyard Parking: 5:30 p.m.  Check-In: 5:30-6:00 p.m. in the Gym Raffle: 6:00 p.m. Introductions: 6:00-6:20 p.m.  Classroom Sessions Session 1: 6:30-6:55 p.m. Session 2: 7:00-7:25 pm   ATTENDANCE At least one parent from each family is required to attend. Per the Parent Tuition Agreement Form and Parent Participation Requirements, families without a representative in attendance will be assessed a $50 fee for a missed meeting. Please email your child's teacher if you are unable to attend.   PARKING Parking will be difficult, please plan to arrive on time. Limited parking will be available in the schoolyard so consider carpooling or parking on Brotherhood Way or in Park Merced.   EXTENDED CARE (STM Students ONLY) While it would be ideal if children could stay at home, we understand this is not always possible. Childcare for STM students will be available in Carroll Hall. Pre-registration is open until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 8/19, but walk-ins is available for $20.   Please click link below if you need child care during Back to School Night: Back to School Night Child Care Registration 2025 FUN RUN 2025  FALL FUNDRAISER - All Families All families are required to participate in the Fall Fundraiser. Each family is to raise a minimum of $100 per child enrolled in the school. Families who choose not to participate may pay a buyout fee of $150 per child. Families who do not meet the minimum requirement of $100 per child must pay the difference between the amount raised and $150.   ACADEMIC CHESS 2025  After School Enrichment Class Academic Chess will begin after school Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 3:05-4:05 PM and will run for 8 weeks. Link will close after the limited number of students enrolled. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Monday, September 15, 2025  LINK: Academic Chess Registration MORNING DROP-OFF INFO Keep it moving! Keep it grooving! Safety First!   Before you leave for school, please do a quick health check with your child at home. Please keep children at home if they are ill or demonstrating any contagious symptoms.  Thank you for keeping our students and families as healthy as possible!  MORNING DROP-OFF The schoolyard gate will open at 7:45 a.m.  TK-8 students may be dropped off between 7:45-8:10 a.m. in the morning.  Please drop students off in the white zone. Pull forward and drive around the block or park up on top of the hill in front of the church.  NO Double Parking for the safety of our community and the Alma Via residents. NO Red Zone Parking DPT will ticket Please drop students off in the white zone. Pull forward.  Keep it moving! Keep it grooving! Safety First! Drivers and family members, please stay in your vehicle.  For our younger students, please practice exiting the vehicle. STM staff members will be on traffic duty to supervise and help with morning drop-off.  If you must exit your vehicle, please find a parking space across the church or in the neighborhood and walk your child to school.  NO U-TURNS Please do not gather in front of the gate for extended periods during peak drop-off/pick up times.    MORNING ASSEMBLY Students will stay in the schoolyard for morning assembly. Parents, family members, and other adults are not allowed in the schoolyard as we continue to limit visitors to our campus.   TARDY STUDENTS Students arriving after morning assembly will enter through the front office doors for check-in and receive a tardy pass to give to their teacher. Music Ensemble Class "A musical instrument can take you anywhere"  Drum Ensemble: STM Fall Drum Registration Form  September 5 - December 19 Wind Ensemble: STM Winds Registration Form  August 29 - December 19   Archdiocese of San Francisco Asbestos Notification   Archdiocese of San Francisco Essay Contest   Utopia Preschool Applications for 2025-2026 Utopia Preschool is currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year! Space is limited! Schedule a tour by calling (415) 317-6269 or email our Director, Stephanie at svorrises@stmsf.org. Current STM families are given priority enrollment!  Parent Participation Requirement - All Families $50 Parents' Club Dues 2025-2026  Each family is required to join ($50 per family per year) and to cooperate with the Parents' Club fulfilling their Parent Participation Requirements. The school works in cooperation with the Club's leadership in the decision-making, implementation and enforcement of their policies. Dues are payable no later than September 15, 2025 and are non-refundable.  STM Scrip Purchase Requirement 2025-2026   SCRIP PURCHASE REQUIREMENT – All Families All families are required to generate a minimum of $100 profit by participating in the RaiseRight program authorized by the school. Scrip purchased between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026 will be credited to this requirement. Families who do not wish to participate or do not reach the minimum requirement of $100 profit will need to use a combination of scrip profit and cash/check for a total of $150. The buy out fee is due no later than April 20, 2026. STM Parent Club Participation Requirements & Opportunities Parents Club Meeting on Thursday, 9/4/25, @ 7:00 p.m. via Zoom  Please contact pcvolunteer@stthomasmoreschool.org for details.  Virtus online training and fingerprinting should be done prior to the event. This process can take between 3–4 weeks. Please plan accordingly and contact the school's front office with questions. If you do not receive an email for event volunteer sign-ups you can access the link by: Visiting STM PC Volunteer Opportunities and navigating to the specific event using the headings on the left. Logging in to your Sign Up Genius account with the email provided to the STM Office. You will see "Sign Ups I'm Invited To" Parents can always review guidelines as well as see current & past events or sign-ups at STM PC Volunteer Opportunities.
