View this email in your browser September 17, 2025 Happy Wednesday Broncos!  STAR testing concludes this week.  Parents - thank you for making sure your child/children continue to get a good night's rest and have a healthy and nutritious meals so they can be their best selves everyday!   * * * Fun Run will take place this Friday, 9/19/25.  Please remember - students are to wear their PE Uniforms for Thursday and Friday.  Teachers will distribute the fun run t-shirts on Friday. See schedule below.   Fun Run is a wonderful event where we all get healthier and help our school community.  Thank you to everyone for your support! * * * STM Class of 1975 celebrates their 50th Anniversary Reunion!!! Great Scott! I got to travel back in time and take the Class of 1975 on a trip down memory lane on a tour of STM.  They had so many amazing stories to share! They could not believe how much our school has grown and changed. They shared that they would love to come back! Special thank you to the classes that made welcome posters and signs for our alumni.  STM Fun Fact: Back then they were STM Saints not Broncos Congratulations Class of 1975! Each family is to raise a minimum of $100 per child enrolled in the school. Families who choose not to participate may pay a buyout fee of $150 per child. Families who do not meet the minimum requirement of $100 per child must pay the difference between the amount raised and $150.   Fall Sports Picture Day 2025-2026  Dear STM Fall Sports Teams,  Fall 2025 Sports Team Picture Day will be on Monday, September 29th in the Gym.  Athletes should be in full uniform and looking sharp for their photos; for the yearbook. The Picture Order Forms are attached and will be also available at the shoot.  Regardless if you submit the form and payment on Monday 9/29, Benchmark Athletics will take an individual AND a team photo of/with your athlete free of charge.   For purchases, Benchmark Athletics will accept payment up to 1 week after the shoot.  We accept credit cards, checks, cash, and venmo (@benchmarkathletics). Just email us (benchmarkathletics001@gmail.com) with your order or hand us the form at the photoshoot! Raiden Kagehiro, STM Alumni, is the head scout or Senior Patrol Leader, running the boys side of the troop. Eion Clancy, current 8th grader from STM, is also attending Scouts. Usually there is one camping trip per month as a troop. There are monthly service projects that the troop is involved in so a way to earn leadership/volunteer hours regularly. Safety First!   Before you leave for school, please do a quick health check with your child at home. Please keep children at home if they are ill or demonstrating any contagious symptoms.  Thank you for keeping our students and families as healthy as possible!  MORNING DROP-OFF The schoolyard gate will open at 7:45 a.m.  TK-8 students may be dropped off between 7:45-8:10 a.m. in the morning.  Please drop students off in the white zone. Pull forward and drive around the block or park up on top of the hill in front of the church.  NO Double Parking for the safety of our community and the Alma Via residents. NO Red Zone Parking DPT will ticket and tow Please drop students off in the white zone. Pull forward.  Keep it moving! Keep it grooving! Safety First! Drivers and family members, please stay in your vehicle.  For our younger students, please practice exiting the vehicle. STM staff members will be on traffic duty to supervise and help with morning drop-off.  If you must exit your vehicle, please find a parking space across the church or in the neighborhood and walk your child to school.  NO U-TURNS Please do not gather in front of the gate for extended periods during peak drop-off/pick up times.    MORNING ASSEMBLY Students will stay in the schoolyard for morning assembly. Parents, family members, and other adults are not allowed in the schoolyard as we continue to limit visitors to our campus.   TARDY STUDENTS Students arriving after morning assembly will enter through the front office doors for check-in and receive a tardy pass to give to their teacher.   STM's Wellness and Counseling Department –  Notes from Counselor Jennifer Corry Suicide Prevention Awareness Month (September) is an opportunity for schools to foster open conversations about mental health, reduce stigma, and share life-saving resources. Things to know: 988 is the National Crisis Hotline that offers 24/7 call, text, and chat access to trained crisis counselors who can help people: Experiencing suicidal thoughts Substance abuse A mental health crisis Any other kind of emotional distress People can also call 988 if they are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support For more information or any further support, please feel free to  contact our School Counselor Ms. Corry at jcorry@stthomasmoreschool.org Utopia Preschool Applications for 2025-2026 Utopia Preschool is currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year! Scrip purchased between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026 will be credited to this requirement. Families who do not wish to participate or do not reach the minimum requirement of $100 profit will need to use a combination of scrip profit and cash/check for a total of $150. The buy out fee is due no later than April 20, 2026 (billed via FACTS). STM Parent Club Participation Requirements & Opportunities If you do not receive an email for event volunteer sign-ups you can access the link by: Visiting STM Parent Club Volunteer Opportunities and navigating to the specific event using the headings on the left. Logging in to your Sign Up Genius account with the email provided to the STM Office. You will see "Sign Ups I'm Invited To" Parents can always review guidelines as well as see current & past events or sign-ups at STM Parent Club Volunteer Opportunities, then go to Document Tab 2025–2026. All events require Virtus online training and fingerprinting.  It should be completed and confirmed prior to the event you signed up for.  Please contact school's front office if you have any questions. This process can take between 3–4 weeks. Be sure to plan accordingly.
