STM Newsletter for November 1, 2017

View this email in your browser
Dear Friends,
Today we begin the month of November with the Feast of All Saints and tomorrow we celebrate All Souls Day. November is traditionally dedicated to those who have died and "have gone to their rest believing in Jesus Christ" (Eucharistic Prayer II). The month of November also draws to an end the liturgical calendar of the church. Throughout the month, scripture readings at mass reminds us of the last days, culminating with the Feast of Christ the King on November 26th.
We hope your parent-teacher conferences are going well. The teachers always look forward to meeting with you and sharing the good news about your child's progress. Just a reminder that every day this week is a minimum day, with dismissal at 12:15pm for grades K-3 and 12:30pm for grades 4-8.
CLICK HERE TO TAKE THE WCEA PARENT SURVEY
We invite all STM parents and guardians to participate in a survey for the WCEA school accreditation process. It will be electronically collated and the results will be incorporated into our next WCEA study. For those of you not familiar with the process of accreditation, our school is certified by the Western Catholic Educational Association, a private educational accrediting agency established under the auspices of the Bishops of the Catholic (Arch) Dioceses of California that ensures that schools meet various standards in all aspects of running a school. For more information on WCEA, check out their website at www.westwcea.org. Please complete this survey by Friday, November 10.

CHIPOTLE NIGHT - OUTDOOR ED
Our first major Outdoor Ed fundraiser of the year was very successful raising $1,558.33. It was great to see so many families last Thursday night. Save the date for their upcoming  Movie Night 'fun'draiser set for November 18! More information will be going home next week.
