| | Dear Friends, Our Catholic faith is central to all that we do at St. Thomas More School. Gospel ideals permeate the substance and structure of lessons prepared by our teachers. Faith is shared through daily prayer and the regular celebration of Mass as a school community and with our families on Sundays. Catholic schools offer an excellent, nurturing, values-centered education in a structured environment. This helps children of all backgrounds realize their fullest potential as human beings. | | The Catholic school experience is an unparalleled opportunity to develop a child's mind, heart and soul. | | | ONE WARM COAT COLLECTION ALL types of coats are needed and will be distributed to needy people by St. Anthony's and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. You can drop off your donations anytime between now and January 31 to the school office. | | SIGN UP GENIUS Volunteers are needed for several upcoming events including the Scholastic Book Fair (Jan 25-31) and Cioppino (Feb 23). UNWANTED CHRISTMAS GIFTS? The committees in charge of Cioppino are busy looking for raffle and silent auction items to use as part of this event. Many such items are received through the generosity of our parent community. Do you have items at home that you cannot use? Are you always thrilled by all your Christmas gifts? Well, one person's trash is another person's treasure. Send us your unwanted/unneeded gifts. We'll turn those lumps of coal into diamonds! The committee is now accepting donations of all kinds. Please drop all donations to the school office. | | | STUDENT HOLIDAY Plan ahead - Please remember that the school, preschool through 8th grade, will be closed on Friday, February 1. This is the day set for the annual Archdiocese Professional Development for all Catholic school teachers and administrators. And finally, while the shut-down continues, we are reaching out to any of our parents who are government employees should you need assistance with your tuition account. Please call, email or drop by the office at your convenience to discuss your options. Try and stay dry! Marie Fitzpatrick Principal | | | | | | |
