| | | STM welcomes back Ms. Kate Zheng, our TK-5 Mandarin teacher! On Tuesday, our Kindergarteners engaged in conversations about the Chinese zodiac and the special Chinese New Year celebrations and customs. Kindergarteners were particularly excited to hear about all the delicious traditional New Year's dishes such as noodles that signify longevity, dumplings that represents wealth, and shimp (蝦) embodies liveliness and good fortune as seen in the photo above. This year's Lunar New Year, celebrating the rat, lands on Saturday, January 25, 2020. | | Dear Parents: The Catholic school experience is an unparalleled opportunity to develop a child's mind, heart and soul. Our Catholic faith is central to all that we do at St. Thomas More School. Gospel ideals permeate the lessons prepared by our teachers. Faith is shared through daily prayer and the regular celebration of Mass as a school community and with our families on Sundays. Catholic schools offer an excellent, nurturing, values-centered education in a structured environment. This helps children of all backgrounds realize their fullest potential as human beings. | | | Sunday, January 26 Family Mass, 10am. All families are expected to attend.
