Polar Bear Craft from our Arctic Animals Unit

This week, TK students expressed their understanding of polar animals through art and play. It was an excellent integration of ELA and Science where our TK students used their fine motor skills to create their very own polar bears from construction paper, newsprint and googly eyes.

Dear Parents,

Our first week back at school has been busy and exciting. We completed all the high school recommendations for our 8th grade applicants and sent off their transcripts. This is always a time of reflection as we look back on the many years we have known these students and how much they have achieved.  We are confident that they are indeed ready for the next stage in their educational journey. On the other hand we have screened and met with the many applicants interested in out TK and K classes and look forward to future opportunities as they become part of our school community.

Extended Care Job Opportunity

Extended Care has an employment opening. Currently, the available shift is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30-5 PM, but it could lead to more hours down the road. This position is perfect for a local college student who wants to work part-time. Preference will be given to STM alumni.  If you know anyone who might want the job, please have them contact Mr. Kavanagh at JKav@stmsf.org

Winter is here and there are many families in our community who are in need of a warm winter coat. Between January 17-February 5, St. Thomas More School will be collecting clean, new or gently used coats in conjunction with ONE WARM COAT. Your donations will benefit many local charities in the area which are in desperate need of coats. Please help us keep everyone warm this winter. Thank you in advance for your generosity. Kindly bring coats to the STM School Office.
Support our 5th and 6th grade Outdoor Ed program by visiting the Westlake Center Chipotle on Tuesday, January 21st between 4:00 and 8:00 pm.
