Our construction continues on track and will finish as projected by mid-August. The newly remodeled boys and girls bathrooms and the new flooring in all classrooms and hallways look fantastic, and we can't wait for all to see these major updates in our main school building. We look forward to beginning the 2021-2022 school year with all students and staff back on campus full time. However, despite the progress that has been made with vaccinations, Covid-19 still remains a threat to people all over the world. Given the momentum the highly contagious Delta variant has gained over the last several weeks, we need to remain vigilant and continue to follow the updated guidelines from the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH). We are all now well aware that being vaccinated does not make one immune to contracting the virus. Rest assured that many of the same measures which allowed St. Thomas More School to operate safely this past school year will remain in place. We are in the process of updating our Infection Mitigation Plan to meet the updated guidelines from the health department and will share these with you before school reopens. We are excited that cohorts are no longer required, so all classes will operate out of their own classrooms with their own teacher. Masking will continue to be required for all students and staff. Pam Lyons, Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of San Francisco, shares this letter with you regarding the reopening of our schools. |
