View this email in your browser August 11, 2021 Dear STM Families,  School reopens on Wednesday, August 25, for the 2021-2022 school year. We are excited to have all our students return to full-time, in-person instruction. The first day of school will be a minimum day with TK-3 dismissal at 12:15 pm and Grades 4-8 dismissal at 12:30 pm.  Full school uniform will be required for all students. We will hold a Used Uniforms Sale on the first day of school in the morning from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and also after school from 11:30-12:45 p.m. in Carroll Hall.  Please also check the guidelines for hairstyles and grooming found here.  SFDPH UPDATED GUIDELINES Updated guidelines from the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) allow for a return to some normal pre-Covid practices. Other protocols will remain in place for the foreseeable future. All students and staff are asked to conduct health screenings at home. Families are no longer required to show a health check at drop-off. Please keep children at home if they are ill or showing any symptoms that may be related to Covid-19. Masks will be required for all students and staff both indoors and outdoors. While outdoor masking is not mandated by the SFDPH at this time, we believe that it is prudent to begin the school year by taking every conceivable precaution.  Cohorts and social distancing are no longer required. All students in each grade level will be in the same classroom. Health and Safety Protocol While we have been successful in ensuring that no COVID-19 cases were spread throughout the school last year, we need to remain vigilant with the new Delta variants that are now becoming more widespread. The continued safety of our students and staff is of primary importance in all decisions we make.  The best way to ensure that children do not contact Covid-19 is to make sure that all adults in the household have been vaccinated.  Some of the health and safety protocols we put in place last year remain in place or have been modified, others have been removed. Our STM Infection Mitigation Plan, posted on our website, will be adjusted shortly to reflect these revised protocols. 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR INFORMATION First Day of School: Wednesday, August 25, 2021 is a minimum day Last Day of School: Friday, June 10, 2022 2021-2022 TK-8 Calendar  ​Grade 3-8 Summer Reading List TK-8 Supply Lists DAILY SCHEDULE Please note that drop-off and pickup times will continue to be staggered and have been adjusted for the 2021-2022 school year.  Morning Drop-off     8:00-8:15 am: Grades 4-8 and siblings     8:15-8:30 am: Grades TK-3     Dismissal     Monday-Thursday                                  Friday     2:45 pm: TK-3                                           2:15 pm: TK-3     3:00 pm: Grades 4-8                                 2:30 pm: Grades 4-8 MORNING & AFTERNOON EXTENDED CARE  AND LUNCH PROGRAMS Morning Care will be available from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m.  Extended Care will be available until 6:00 p.m. daily. The School Lunch Program offered by Choice Lunch will be reinstated. 2021-2022 MORNING AND AFTERNOON EXTENDED CARE REGISTRATION  Complete the Extended Care Registration to enroll your child in Morning and/or After School Extended Care for the 2021-2022 school year. We are asking each family to register at this time so that we can plan ahead and ensure adequate staffing. REGISTRATION FEE: $25 per family MORNING EXTENDED CARE Monday-Friday 7:00-8:00 am Fee: $600 for the whole school year AFTER SCHOOL EXTENDED CARE Monday-Friday Dismissal - 6 pm Fee: $7.50 per hour Submit one Extended Care Registration Form per student.
