CALENDAR

Tuesday, Oct. 12-Friday, Oct. 15
Minimum Days 12:15/12:30 dismissal all week
Parent Teacher Conferences 

Wednesday, Oct. 13
Mock Trial 12:45-2:15 pm

Monday, Oct. 25
Minimum Days 12:15/12:30 dismissal

Friday, Oct. 29
Trunk or Treat Halloween Parade 10 am

SCHOOL SAFETY

PARKING AND TRAFFIC

In order to make drop off and pick-up of your children as safe as possible:

  • No U-turns in the middle of the street or at the top of the street
  • No double parking on Thomas More Way 
  • Cross at the crosswalk

 

U-turns, double parking and jaywalking disrupts the flow of traffic and is unsafe for our children.

KINDERGARTEN and TK APPLICATIONS

2022-2023

We are happy to announce that many new families have accepted a placement at STM for the next school year. Applications are still being accepted until classes are full. New student applications are available online.

SCHOOL TOURS

We are offering new parents school tours. Complete the sign up below to reserve your place for the dates listed below. 

  • Thursday, October 14 at 2 pm
  • Monday, October 25 at 1 pm and 2 pm 

School Tour Guidelines:

  • Tours will be available after school and limited to 3 visitors per tour group
  • Limit one parent/guardian per family per tour
  • Visitors must bring proof of COVID vaccination or a negative COVID test result dated within the last 72 hours of visit

VIRTUAL MEET THE PRINCIPAL

We ask your help in encouraging prospective parents to consider St. Thomas More School for their child for the 2022-2023 school year. You, our current families, are our best advertising! Please invite friends and relatives interested in St.Thomas More School to come to one of our virtual "MEET THE PRINCIPAL" events for prospective parents. Click on the link below to reserve a place on one of the dates listed below: 

  • October 19, 2021, 6pm hosted by Ms. Kane, Vice-Principal
  • November 9, 2021, 6pm
  • December 7, 2021, 6 pm

TRUNK OR TREAT
HALLOWEEN PARADE 
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2021

Our TK-8 Halloween parade will begin at 10:00 am in the schoolyard on Friday, October 29, 2021. For the safety of our students and staff, parents and guardians are not be allowed in the schoolyard during this event. Parents' Club Volunteers will be distributing treats to our students in the schoolyard. You may stream the event on Instagram Live @stmsfbroncos beginning at 10:00 am. 


HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
When purchasing costumes for wearing to school for the parade, please consider the following:  

  • Age appropriate
  • Bathroom accessible
  • Makeup must be applied at home
  • Shoes must be comfortable for walking
  • No weapons of any kind

Also remember that Friday, October 29th is a minimum day with a 12:15/12:30 pm dismissal.

ABSENTEE REPORT

If your child is absent, please use the absentee report to notify the school office and teachers that your child will be absent. You may find the link to the absentee report on our school website under CONTACT US -> Report Student Absence or use the link below. 

Vacations taken during the school year are not encouraged. Please defer vacations to school holidays and days when we are not in-session.

If your child is out sick, please follow the SFDPH Parent/Guardian Health Checklist below.

Students may return after illness: 

  • If your child gets tested for COVID-19, they can return if their test is negative. A home COVID test is not sufficient. A PCR test is required. They must stay at home until you get their test result. Email test results to health@stmsf.org.

  • If your child is not tested, they must stay out of school until 10 days have passed since their symptoms first appeared AND 24 hours with no fever and no symptom reducing medications.

  • OR provide a doctor's or clinic note to clear student's return
