Letter from Superintendent of Catholic Schools Regarding Vaccines for Children
SF children ages 5 to 11 years old are now eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine,after receiving final approval and guidance from federal and state authorities. Families wishing to have their children vaccinated can now make appointments. "With this major expansion of COVID-19 vaccines to 5 to 11-year-old children, we are getting much closer to San Francisco being fully vaccinated," said Director of Health, Dr. Grant Colfax. "Our school-aged children will now have the best defense against the virus – and schools, after school, youth sports programs, and the community will be that much safer. We highly recommend that all eligible children get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible."
St. Anne School, 850 Judah St., will have a vaccine clinic this coming weekend. Details will be shared with you as soon as they become available.
HOLIDAY TRAVEL ADVISORY
As you plan ahead to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays keep in mind the risks of exposure to Covid-19 posed by travel. Please use the following recommendations from the CDC regarding testing and self-quarantine following travel, especially for those that are not vaccinated.

LAUDATO SI ACTION PLAN
ST. FRANCIS ACTION TEAM
On November 14, The Archdiocese of San Francisco will be joining the statewide kickoff of the "Laudato Si Action Platform Plan." This effort is in line with the Vatican's launch of a seven-year grassroots effort across the globe to put the message of Laudato Si into practice. Here at St. Thomas More Church a plan to form the St. Francis Action Team dedicated to promoting the protection of God's creation and advocating on behalf of people in poverty is underway. This may be a very worthwhile activity for your family to join.
