View this email in your browser August 14, 2024 Hello Broncos! Welcome back!  Hope you had a wonderful summer!   School starts tomorrow, Thursday, August 15, and we are excited to see everyone on campus.  August 15 and 16 are minimum days and students are to wear their full school uniform.  We do not have P.E. on the first day of school. P.E. starts next week on August 20. The school hallways are freshly painted. The floors are shining brightly. The classrooms and teachers are ready for another amazing year!  Soon, STM will be buzzing with excitement! This year, we will continue focusing on wellness and joyful learning. Special thank you to Utopia Preschool and our TK-8 faculty and staff for coming together and preparing for the upcoming school year. Check out the picture of our staff at Lake Merced during our wellness retreat and community-building rowing. This is a mandatory meeting for all families. We will have a raffle for $100 off tuition for five STM families who arrive on time! Please pick up your raffle ticket at the teachers' tables. One ticket per child.  SCHEDULE Gates Open/Schoolyard Parking: 5:30 p.m. Check-In: 5:30-6:00 p.m. in the Gym Raffle: 6:00 p.m. Introductions: 6:00-6:20 p.m. Classroom Sessions Session 1: 6:30-6:55 p.m. Session 2: 7:00-7:25 pm ATTENDANCE At least one parent from each family is required to attend. Per the Parent Tuition Agreement Parent Participation Requirements, families without a representative in attendance will be assessed a $50 fee for a missed meeting. Please email your child's teacher if you are unable to attend.  PARKING Parking will be difficult, please plan to arrive on time. Limited parking will be available in the schoolyard so consider carpooling or parking on Brotherhood Way or in Park Merced. EXTENDED CARE While it would be ideal if children could stay at home, we understand this is not always possible. Childcare for STM students will be available in Carroll Hall at $10 per family.  Please complete the reservation for childcare below. Walk-ins will be charged $20 per family. 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR INFORMATION School days for all students TK-8 will begin at 8:10 a.m. promptly. First day of school for TK-8 is Thursday, August 15, 2024 and is a minimum day.   2024-2025 Calendar  2024-2025 Financial Policies  TK-8th Supply List 2024-2025 3rd-8th Summer Reading List 2024-2025 SCHOOL SCHEDULE MORNING DROP-OFF 7:45-8:10 am: All TK-8 students  8:10 am: Morning assembly in the schoolyard AFTERNOON DISMISSAL - TK-8 will be dismissed at the gate.    TK-3 Grades 4-8 Monday-Thursday  2:45 pm 3:00 pm  Friday 2:15 pm 2:30 pm  Minimum Day 12:15 pm 12:30 pm MORNING DROP-OFF Before you leave for school, please do a quick health check with your child at home. Please keep children at home if they are ill or showing any symptoms that may be related to COVID-19.  MORNING DROP-OFF The schoolyard gate will open at 7:45 a.m.  TK-8 students may be dropped off between 7:45-8:10 a.m. in the morning.  Please drop students off in the white zone. Pull forward.   Drivers and family members, please stay in your vehicle.  For our younger students, please practice exiting the vehicle. STM staff members will be on traffic duty to supervise and help with morning drop-off.  If you must exit your vehicle, please find a parking space across the church or in the neighborhood and walk your child to school.  NO U-TURNS Please do not gather in front of the gate.     RETURN OF MORNING ASSEMBLY Students will stay in the schoolyard for morning assembly. Parents, family members, and other adults are not allowed in the schoolyard as we continue to limit visitors to our campus. TARDY STUDENTS Students arriving after morning assembly will enter through the front office doors for check-in and receive a tardy pass to give to their teacher. MORNING & AFTERNOON, EXTENDED CARE, AND LUNCH PROGRAMS Morning Care will be available from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. beginning Friday, August 16, 2024 Extended Care will be available until 6:00 p.m. daily beginning Friday, August 16, 2024 Hot Lunch by School Foodies begins on Monday, August 19, 2024.  There may be a limited number of lunches for $7 each, on an emergency basis only. Emergency lunches will be billed to FACTS accounts.
