First day of school for TK-8 is Thursday, August 15, 2024 and is a minimum day.   2024-2025 Calendar  2024-2025 Financial Policies  TK-8th Supply List 2024-2025 3rd-8th Summer Reading List 2024-2025 SCHOOL SCHEDULE MORNING DROP-OFF 7:45-8:10 am: All TK-8 students  8:10 am: Morning assembly in the schoolyard AFTERNOON DISMISSAL - TK-8 will be dismissed at the gate.    TK-3 Grades 4-8 Monday-Thursday  2:45 pm 3:00 pm  Friday 2:15 pm 2:30 pm  Minimum Day 12:15 pm 12:30 pm MORNING DROP-OFF GUIDELINES Before you leave for school, please do a quick health check with your child at home. Please keep children at home if they are ill or showing any symptoms that may be related to COVID-19.  MORNING DROP-OFF The schoolyard gate will open at 7:45 a.m.  TK-8 students may be dropped off between 7:45-8:10 a.m. in the morning.  Please drop students off in the white zone. Pull forward and drive around the block or park up on top of the hill in front of the church.  NO Double Parking for the safety of our community and the Alma Via residents. NO Red Zone Parking DPT will ticket Please drop students off in the white zone. Pull forward.  Keep it moving! Keep it grooving! Drivers and family members, please stay in your vehicle.  For our younger students, please practice exiting the vehicle. STM staff members will be on traffic duty to supervise and help with morning drop-off.  If you must exit your vehicle, please find a parking space across the church or in the neighborhood and walk your child to school.  NO U-TURNS Please do not gather in front of the gate for extended periods during peak drop-off/pick up times. MORNING ASSEMBLY Students will stay in the schoolyard for morning assembly. Parents, family members, and other adults are not allowed in the schoolyard as we continue to limit visitors to our campus. TARDY STUDENTS Students arriving after morning assembly will enter through the front office doors for check-in and receive a tardy pass to give to their teacher. MORNING & AFTERNOON, EXTENDED CARE, AND LUNCH PROGRAMS Morning Care will be available from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. beginning Friday, August 16, 2024. Extended Care will be available until 6:00 p.m. daily beginning Friday, August 16, 2024. Hot Lunch by School Foodies begins on Monday, August 19, 2024.  There may be a limited number of lunches for $7 each, on an emergency basis only. Emergency lunches will be billed to FACTS accounts. HOT LUNCH REGISTRATION STM has a hot lunch vendor, SchoolFoodies, for the 2024-2025 school year. Our events are a success because of parents who work hard behind the scenes to make them happen! Parents can always review guidelines as well as see current & past events or sign-ups at STM PC Volunteer Opportunities  Sign-Up Genius for Bingo Night Volunteers was emailed out last Wednesday, 8/28/24. Thanks! STM Parents Club LOOKING FOR ROBOTICS CLUB COACHES  School Year 2024-2025   We need Robotics Club coaches! First Lego League requires two coaches per team of up to 6-10 students. Note that we cannot form teams without coaches, but no experience is required, and coaching robotics is a blast!  - Coaches must be fingerprinted (Live Scan) and complete the Virtus training prior to the first club meeting date.  - Robotics Coach Volunteers will be given 15 Parent Participation Hours. Team Meeting Dates: The season will run from week of mid September through mid December for a 10-week session.  Club meeting starts right after school for (1st-8th).  Please check school calendar for Minimum Days/Holidays. Teachers will distribute all Fun Run T-Shirts in their classrooms the day of the event.   SPORTS BASEMENT'S BASEMENTEER PROGRAM  2024 Hello Saint Thomas More School!    As you know, Saint Thomas More School is a beneficiary of Sports Basement's Basementeer program.  As a beneficiary, Saint Thomas More School earns money when your community shops at Sports Basement. Sports Basement is scheduling Back to School shopping events from August 31 to September 8, and wants to make sure that St. Thomas More School is included.  This would be a 20% discount for Basementeers (those a part of our loyalty program) and 11% for everyone else.   Sports Basement's Back To School shopping event is also a great program wherein 10% of profits are shared with Saint Thomas More School.
