Happy Wednesday!   Starting this Friday, October 25th until next Thursday, October 31st, is our Fall Spirit Week 2024!  Friday, 10/25: Culture Day Monday, 10/28: Twin Day Tuesday, 10/29: Pajama Day Wednesday, 10/30: Class Choice Thursday, 10/31: Halloween Friday, 11/1: No School - Local Holiday Halloween is one week away and the students are very excited for the festivities!  There are many exciting events coming up this month! Please be sure to check your emails and see the calendar below. Our STM students are looking forward to the Halloween Trunk or Treat next Thursday, October 31st.  Students will come to school in their Halloween costumes.  Our awesome room parents already emailed you about candy donations and volunteer opportunities. * * * Thank you SF Environment and Phoebe the Phoenix for visiting STM! Phoebe the Phoenix reminds us that we have the power to transform our home, our city, and our planet.   Zero Waste means reducing, reusing, recycling, and composting with nothing going to landfill or incineration. * * * Father & Son Movie Duo Event is on November 9, 2024.  The theme is based on father son duos to dress up as Batman/Robin, Marlin/Nemo, Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker, etc.  Fun filled day of activities for Fathers and Son(s) to participate in.  Check out the flyer below to pre-register for this event. * * * October is National Bullying Prevention Month.  Every child deserves to be safe.  Together, we can create a world without bullying. Parents and Guardians - Click this link to see how you can help.  Please see the information boxes below from STM's Wellness and Counseling Department – Notes from Counselor Jennifer Corry. * * * STM Family Mass October 20, 2024 Special thanks to Father Rick, Mrs. Cabe-Reyes, the 8th grade students and all the families for celebrating mass! Our events are a success because of parents who work hard behind the scenes to make them happen! Parents can always review guidelines as well as see current & past events or sign-ups at STM PC Volunteer Opportunities  Sign-Up Genius for Father & Son Event was emailed out last Wednesday, 10/16/24. Father & Son Event Registration Link:  https://stthomasmoreschool.aware3.net/form/O3Uy6xpRM?authToken=__token__ Class representatives are now collecting individually wrapped candy donations for trunk or treat.  We encourage families to connect directly with the trunk or treat volunteer representatives OR  their class representatives for a direct handoff.  If this is not an option during drop off/pick up hours please drop it off to the school office. The class representatives and trunk or treat  volunteers will be responsible for storing the candy and will be picking it up from the office.  Families need to label the candy donations so we know which class it belongs to. STM Parents Club Cioppino Auction Chair Opportunities Join us for a Fun-filled Evening and help make our Cioppino Dinner & Auction a Great Success!  Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to the team, your support is invaluable. Come help us create a memorable event that showcases our school spirit and culinary delights! We're looking for volunteers to assist with planning, setup, and event coordination for this exciting school fundraiser. Your efforts will help us raise funds for STM's while bringing our school and alumni community together over a delicious seafood feast! Great way to get your parent hours and super fun! Need 4 Chairs (15 hours credit each!)  Ready to dive in?  Contact Trilce Farrugia at trilce.farrugia@gmail.com  for more information or to get involved.  School Picture Retake Make Up Photo Day is for the students who missed the first photo session and for the students whose parents paid for a retake. It is also an opportunity for students who enrolled later in the year to get their photo taken. All students who missed our first photo session can take a photo without a fee. Parents who wish to have their child's/children's photos retaken can sign up no later than 12:01a.m. the night before (October 28th) and pay the $10 retake fee. Families can review your child's/children's photos in their galleries and can decide from there if they wish to order a retake.  Yearbook Pre-Sale Order This entire month of October, we are taking presales for the yearbook.
