Dear Parents,
As part of our preparation for the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday, students in grades 3-8 will receive the sacrament of Reconciliation on Tuesday, March 24th. Please prepare your children to receive this sacrament by helping them to decide how to make good choices in their lives and how to ask God's forgiveness for decisions they may have made that did not show love for God or one another.
Thank you to all who attended the parent meeting last Thursday night. Congratulations to the Quesada family for winning the free re-registration raffle. We hope that the meeting was informative and provided insight into the procedures that we have in place at STM in case of an emergency. Based on your input, we are working with AT&T to unblock our telephone number when making outgoing calls. | | RE-REGISTRATION FOR 2015-2016 It's that time of year again! We have several applications for grades 1-8 and we need to know if we will have any openings in those classrooms for those applicants. Again this year, we ask all families, preschool through seventh grade, to complete their re-registration online. Click on one of the links below, complete all the information on the form and submit. The re-registration fee of $375 for each child entering grades 1st through 8th, and those returning to Preschool, will be billed to your FACTS account on Thursday, March 26th, and must be paid no later than Friday, April 17th. As a reminder, any family not-having-fulfilled all of its financial obligations to the school may be dropped from the registered list. These include scrip purchases, parent hours, and responding to the Capital Campaign pledge.
Re-Registration Guidelines - You must complete one online form for EACH child currently attending STM/UTOPIA PRESCHOOL. (Preschool families who are entering kindergarten do not need to register online.)

- For families NOT returning to STM/UTOPIA for the 2015-2016 school year, click here.
- Deadline to complete re-registration online is Wednesday, March 25th.
- If the online form is not returned by the due date, no seat will be saved for your child.
- After the re-registration fee deadline of April 17th, the re-registration fee is $500 per child.
- As always, re-registration fees are non-refundable.
| | | | SPRING SHOW - THURSDAY, MARCH 26 Next Thursday, March 26th, we are very excited to present our first Spring Show under the direction of Mary Powelson, our Theater Arts teacher. This year, we have divided the school into two performances, the lower grades (PK, K, 1, 2 & 3) and the upper grades (4, 5, 6, 7 & 8). We look forward to seeing you at one or both of these fantastic productions in the gym.
PK, K, 1, 2 & 3: The preschoolers through third graders will perform 1:30pm in the gym. Parking will be available in the schoolyard beginning at 1:00pm. The doors of the gym will open at 1:15pm.
4, 5, 6, 7 & 8: For the evening performance, the front doors of the school will open at 6:15pm to allow the 4th-8th grade students to enter their classrooms. Students should arrive no later than 6:30pm. Parking will be available in the schoolyard beginning at 6:00pm. The doors of the gym will open at 6:15pm. | | | Friday, March 20th - End of 3rd Quarter

Easter Break - No School | | | | LAYETTE DRIVE: As a reminder, we are collecting new infant clothing through the month of March. These items will be donated to the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (ACCW) to benefit needy mothers and their newborns throughout the year. Please send any donation with your child or drop them off in the front office. Your generosity to needy moms and babies is greatly appreciated.
Congratulations to our 8th graders who are heading off to high school next year. Students have been lucky enough to be accepted into several schools to which they applied. The following are the schools to which students were accepted: Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (8), St. Ignatius Preparatory (5), Mercy San Francisco (7), Mercy Burlingame (3), Archbishop Riordan High School (11), Junipero Serra High School (5), Stuart Hall (1), Lowell High School (3) and several other local public schools. We are all so proud of our soon-to-be graduates!
Finally, while our school calendar for 2015-2016 has not yet been approved by the Archdiocese, we want to let you know that we have requested to begin the new school year on Tuesday, August 25th, 2015. Hopefully this will help those of you who are planning your vacations now. An official 2015-2016 school calendar will be sent home as soon as it has been approved. The new school year for Utopia, our preschool, will begin on August 17th.
