PROGRESS REPORTS Progress Reports are going home today. All students, fourth grade and up, are receiving such a report. These progress reports show a snapshot of the student's current academic standing with optional comments from their teachers. The grading scale is available here. As a system default, art, PE, music and tech will show P/100% for students who fully participate. Students in the lower grades with behavior and/or academic concerns have already been contacted by their child's teacher. SCRIP REQUIREMENT Funds from our Scrip requirement are used to directly fund our PE and Music programs. We budget this income to cover most of the costs of these valuable programs. We are grateful to all of the families who have completed this requirement for the 2016-2017 school year. As of May 1, any scrip purchases will be credited to the 2017-18 school year. All families will be notified next week as to whether or not they have fulfilled this requirement. Balances owed will be billed to your FACTS account shortly thereafter. EXTENDED CARE - HELP WANTED We have an opening for a part-time staff position at St. Thomas More School's Extended Care. The shifts usually are great for college students who have their afternoons free. Ideally, we prefer college-aged STM alumni, but that is not a requirement. If you know anyone interested, please let Mr. Kavanagh know and give them his contact info: jkav@stmsf.org. PAPER DONATIONS One way we save money is by using recycled paper, paper printed only on one side. So many of you are kind enough to collect it at your place of business and bring it to us on a regular basis. Your generous donation of new and recycled paper is very much appreciated. Please keep these donations coming! YEARBOOK This year's Yearbook is here! All students PK-8th grade are included in this wonderful keepsake book. As always we expect a sellout again this year. The order form for the book is in your Envelope today. |
