| | Dear Parents, During the Month of May, a month both named for and dedicated to Mary, our blessed mother, Catholics have long honored Mary by placing a crown on her image. The tradition in the United States and many other countries has been for school children to have a "May Crowning" ceremony, with a procession, pretty dresses and a wreath of fresh flowers that are placed on the statue. Please join us at morning assembly next Thursday, May 10 when Student Council will present the crowning of a statue of Mary. | | CAPITAL CAMPAIGN MORE THAN BRICKS Thank you to all who responded to our campaign. Through your generosity, our pledges are currently at $79,441. However, there are still many families who have not yet responded. As we have previously said, there is no specific, required contribution however, the level of response from all school families to the Campaign will ensure the safety of our children as we move forward with the seismic retrofit and other improvement projects. | | | FUND-A-NEED Thank you to all who donated to our furniture Fund-a-need. We were able to raise $4,065 to purchase new chairs and desks for our 1st and 2nd grade classrooms. We have begun the process of researching options and look forward to outfitting these classrooms with the new furniture for the 18-19 school year. | | PARENT TUITION AGREEMENT PARENT PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS Families who have not returned their Parent Tuition Agreement and the Parent Participation Requirements for the 2018-2019 school year will be receiving another copy today. Please complete and return it to us as soon as possible. Your child will not be able to attend in the fall without this on record. | | | 7TH/8TH GRADE SOCIAL The night was a great success with over 150 7th and 8th grade students from surrounding schools attending and showing their school spirit.
