Dear STM School Community, The month of October is an important month for the Catholic Church. October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary due to the fact that the feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated on October 7th. We give Our Lady thanks during this month for the protection and love she gives to the Church in response to those praying the rosary. Consider praying the rosary with your family at home. During this month we also celebrate St. Francis for his endless love for nature and animals. This is normally the time of year when we celebrate the annual blessing of the animals.  This link takes us to a youtube video Prayer of St. Francis Calendar Thursday, October 1 Mercy Burlingame Virtual Visit Grades 7-8 at 12 pm ICA Virtual Visit Grades 7-8 at 2 pm Parents' Club at 7 pm  Friday, October 2 Mock Trial Afterschool Classes begin Last day to sign up for Parent-Teacher Conferences Monday, October 5-Friday, October 9 Minimum Days - 12:15/12:30 dismissal Wednesday, October 7 Fun Run PARENTS' CLUB MEETING STM Parents' Club is meeting on Thursday October 1st at 7pm. If parents would like to join the call, they can email the parentsclub@stthomasmoreschool.org to request the zoom meeting information. All parents are members of the Parents' Club and are welcome to attend all meetings. ADVISORY BOARD MEETING Our next Advisory Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13. We are looking for two new members for our Finance Committee. If you are qualified for this committee  and interested in serving our school in this capacity please contact me directly at marifitz@stmsf.org. School Pictures Drop-Off and Pick-Up Days 10/13/2020 and 10/14/2020 School pictures are scheduled for Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Students must be in school uniform, and in accord to school regulations. This might be the time to schedule that haircut that we have not been able to get for the past six months!.  Our MugsyClicks photographers are working on a schedule and will be posted as soon as it becomes available. Pick-Up the following: Fun Run t-shirts and prizes Star Test scores Drop-Off the following, TK-2 3-Tier carts for students planning to return to school when we reopen on October 19th. St. Thomas More Fun Run Update Keep up the good work! We are 64% of the way towards reaching our goal of $60,000. ShopWithScrip Bonus Fest is coming Oct 9 – 31. Each weekend features a different lineup of brands on bonus for 2 days only. Bonuses start at 12:00 a.m. ET Friday and end at 11:59 p.m. ET Saturday. Offers will be announced each Friday. All gift card types (eGift cards, physical gift cards, and money added to reloadable cards) are included.
