School Reopening Update for September 1, 2020

View this email in your browser September 1, 2020 Dear STM Families,  Please read the attached letter from Superintendent Pam Lyons regarding extending distance learning in Catholic schools through September 18.  LINK: Letter from Superintendent of Schools September 1, 2020  The recent survey sent to you by the Department of Catholic school regarding the waiver option came up with the following results:   Reopen for in-person learning-31%   Reopen with Hybrid model- 27%   Continue distance learning - 42% This leaves us far short of the 70% minimum needed in order to reach consensus in applying for a waiver. Therefore, STM will not be applying for a waiver at this time. We are however hoping and praying that we will be allowed to open by the state after September 18th.
