Hello STM Broncos!

Thank you to everyone for all the support of the STM Fun Run '23! Thank you for encouraging health, wellness, fitness and for helping our school!

Thank you to everyone who came out for STM Family Bingo and Dinner!  Special thanks to the Bingo Planning Team! Check out the beautiful STM Bingo 2023 Pictures! So much fun!

Congratulations to our 1st and 2nd grade classes for hosting the first STM Family Mass of the year.  Special thanks to Ms. Murray, Mrs. Alioto, Ms. McCann and Mrs. McFadden!

Great job 1st and 2nd Grade!

In a few short months, STM will celebrate our 70th anniversary year.  That will begin our 5 year journey to 75 years strong!  We are looking forward to a number of amazing and memorable celebrations along the way to 2029.

As we come to the end of September, it is very important that mental health and wellness are always supported and brought to light.  September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.  We have several community members that will be leading the charge in bringing supportive programming to those in need.  Please see Suicide Prevention Awareness Month for helpful resources. Feel free to reach out to our counselor, Ms. Corry (jcorry@stmsf.org) for more information.  Parents – here is a link to resources from Common Sense Media.

Thank you to everyone for keeping our community safe by respecting the pick-up and drop-off zones.  Keep it Moving! Keep it Grooving! If you want to walk and talk, then please park up in front of the church.

Thank you to all the parents who have expressed interest in supporting capital and community projects for our school.  There are and will be plenty of upcoming opportunities to get involved.

In closing, I want to send our condolences and heartfelt thanks to the Ragasa family that has done so much for our St. Thomas More school and church community over many years.  Mariluz (STM Class of 1980) was laid to rest yesterday at her celebration of life at the STM Church.  She was extremely loved and devoted by the STM community giving years and years of service and love for the school, including support for father-daughter dances, Holy Communions, Confirmations, and graduations. They were also known for beautiful designs and creations and donated stunning floral arrangements for our church. I had the privilege to meet the family and many community members this week as they honored their mother.  Thank you Norman (Mariluz's husband) and Dad to Azja (STM 2010), Ava (STM 2015), and Aiden (STM 2018).

We are all truly blessed to be part of such an amazing community!

Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you soon!

God bless you all!
Peace, love, happiness and harmony.
David Greenbaum (Mr. G), Principal

STM Robotics for 2023-24 School Year
🤖

STM Robotics teams are forming for the First Lego League (FLL) events this year.
The theme is "Masterpiece" and should be fun for students that love STEAM: STEM plus Art and Performance! STM participates in FLL Challenge program for Grades 5-8 and FLL Explore for Grades 1-4 Sign up by October 11. (Add link). Fee $200 billed to FACTS.

We still need coaches!
We will set the schedule and teams based on finding coaches! FLL requires two coaches per team of 6-8 students. Note that we cannot form teams without coaches, but no experience is required, and coaching robotics is a blast! All materials provided with team fee. Teams complete exciting challenges with Lego and coding and attend NorCal events starting in January.

If you want to find out more, please email Maura Clancy at
maura_clancy@hotmail.com.
