| | Dear Parents, In a message received Monday, May 11, from Pam Lyons, Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of San Francisco, we were informed that we are not able to hold any graduation ceremonies, even a drive-in, due to the state of the pandemic, as these ceremonies invite large gatherings outside of a household that are not allowed under the current order. The decision was based on a letter she received from the City & County of San Francisco's Department of Public Health. This ban is extended to all Catholic schools in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties. Letter from City and County of San Francisco Department of Public Health Ms. Kane and the 8th grade parents had been planning a drive by event for our graduates, on graduation day, May 29th. Unfortunately, the plans will need to be adjusted to accommodate this new directive. The graduation planning committee will be contacting all families shortly with the new direction this will take. Rest assured, we will do everything possible to make this a memorable day for our 8th graders. We are still hoping to have an actual graduation Mass and ceremony in August. | | | Thursday, May 14 - Day of Prayer, Fasting and Charitable Works Friday, May 15 - Finish Up/Flexible Friday - Virtual Field Trip Site Wednesday, May 20 - Last day of PE Thursday, May 21 - Last day of Mandarin Friday, May 22 - Last day of Music Monday, May 25 - Memorial Day - School Holiday Wednesday, May 27 Pick Up/Drop Off Day - more information will be posted next week Attendance Link: https://www.stthomasmoreschool.org/attendance.html Check out our Parent Calendar for upcoming events. | | | | DAY OF PRAYER, FASTING AND CHARITABLE WORKS - MAY 14, 2020 Pope Francis announced that May 14 will be a Day of Prayer, Fasting and Charitable Works to end COVID-19.
